Apple's Ingenuity Strikes Again
This week as I searched for music for my choreography midterm assignment, I was struggling to find a dynamic and interesting song. While I was watching Hulu one day, the new iPhone advertisement came on. I was instantly drawn to the music and immediately google searched the song. This lead me through a rabbit hole of amazing Apple advertisements that all had great music. It made me realize how important good music is in advertising. When I think of Apple Music, I automatically think of the Taylor Swift advertisement when she is singing along to Drake's song, Jumpman, and falls off of the treadmill. With iWatch, I think of the commercial featuring Tkay Maidza's Bom Bom, which my sisters and I party to all the time now because of that commercial. Not only do I get great, new music from these advertisements, but every time I listen to these songs now I think about the associated Apple product.
I ended up downloading Nothing Burns Like the Cold by Snoh Aalegra for my midterm and am excited I found a fun new song. On the topic of dance, music, and Apple, here is one of my favorite advertisements of all time that has almost 11 million views on YouTube. It has all the feels of love, nostalgia, the holiday's, and great dancing.
Apple's advertisements are AMAZING. This one is my favorite :) They sure know what they're doing!
ReplyDeleteI think it's insane how successful ads can be. There are some random facts that I know because of ads I watched as a little kid. I'm from colorado and could still tell you how to get to the tree farm because of some really effective advertisements.
ReplyDeleteI agree that music is one of the best ways to draw attention on ads!! I love Apple ads. They definitely know what types of music and advertising people like!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great thought! I am going to start paying more attention to the music in ads.
ReplyDeleteHow cool! I think dance in film is becoming more and more popular. It is interesting how different the experience is to watch dancers from unique angles that are only possibly on film. Great Ad!
ReplyDeleteWhat Madison said ^^ I haven't seen apple's ads in a long time, so I'm going to get acquainted with them
